The world renowned Theran wine with vineyards more than a century old, unveiled through a mesmeric wine degustation

Wine enthusiasts love Santorini for its distinctive wine making tradition, having led to the production of some of the finest wine varieties in the entire world, Assyrtiko, Nichteri and the sweet wonder of Vinsanto!

Argyros Estate winery will be our first drinking experience, where some of the oldest vines in Santorini are found, dating back 200 years! Discover the secrets behind the Wines of Terroir, seeing how Argyros family boutique wines are made in a way respectful to the environment, using traditional, low intervention wine-making methods. And of course, you’ll have a chance to taste their Estate five wines with regional selected deli-In pairs!

Our next stop, Koutsoyannopoulos Winery (Wine Museum or Volcan Wines) -a true paradise for wine connoisseurs and one of the most wonderful places on Earth. We visit the museum, nestled inside a labyrinthine cave 8 meters below ground and 300 meters long! It took 21 years of hard work and patience to complete the wine museum and the result is mind-blowing! After the tour in the underground museum, time to indulge in a wine tasting of 4 of their best wines!

Next up, the road takes us to Venetsanos Winery, built on the edge of the caldera. This winery is unlike any other, due to its architecture using gravity to counter the lack of electricity at its time. Taking advantage of the slopping ground, wine literally flowed from the top level all the way down to the port through pipes and into the ships.
