History

 

Bansko is a city of 9200 habitants on mount Pirin of Bulgaria on 936 mts over water surface. A few years ago with the rapid development of the most modern and state of the art ski center Bansko transformed to the hottest winter destination.

Ski center

 

When you hear si center you think of Bansko. It has some of the best facilities you can find in a ski center and that is why it is so popular I all neighborhood countries. The highest point is 2560 mts and the lowest 1000 mts. It has 75 km slopes ready to meet the needs of even the most demanding. 80% of its area is equipped with artificial snow machines. The season always starts in December and lasts until May so there is no excuse not to visit. On the plus side as well is the covered-closed cable car operating. There are 6 adult and 10 children ski lifts available. There you have the ability to rent equipment.

Food

 

This city is flooded with restaurants and taverns with flavors very similar to Greek. The Greek element is generally very vivid.

Nightlife

 

This place is full of bars, clubs, music and dancing on the tables until early in the morning. If you wish something more relaxing you can visit the hotel bar as they offer the best atmosphere.

Spa

 

Even if you are not a ski lover nobody can resist to a luxury spa and in Bansko spa is sacred. Luxury facilities, equipped with pools and hammams, Jacuzzi and gyms, steam and massage rooms will take you on a relaxation trip.

Traditional Bansko

 

Bansko has a traditional side also which is worth seeing. A beautiful square with statues and fountains as well as an impressive, for its size, park. If you stay a few more days you can cross on the other side of the river to the non touristic part of the city.
